Job Description

As one of the key members of the Consulting/Analytic & Insight team, the senior manager will be the key contact person for the assigned top clients in the FMCG industry. He/She is the owner of NielsenIQ service to the client and provides the best solution to the client through close engagement as a business partner. Also, if needed, he/she would need to lead a 5 to 10 people’s team to generate insights and plan for resource allocation to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver impactful, fact-based, actionable insights to clients with a strong story
  • Deliver outstanding data analytics to answer clients business questions and help them grow
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor to their business
  • Listen to client problems and contribute to out-side-the-box solutions to retain clients and solve their business issues 
  • Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the client are met
  • Use a systematic approach to solving problems and track results
  • Be an ambassador for NielsenIQ whilst on-site at clients’ offices to add value wherever possible
  • Identify opportunities and work with the sales team to facilitate a commercial approach to help NielsenIQ grow
  • Leverage existing and contribute to Thought Leadership
  • Effective prioritization of day-to-day workload and focuses effort where it matters most
  • Direct, train and give support to junior execs 
  • Understand Nielseniq software and be able to leverage our data sets to teach clients and junior execs as well as to conduct best in class analytics
  • Has the ability to effectively present a full deck end-to-end to senior client stakeholders (without manager supervision)
  • Demonstrates proficient lead generation abilities, characterized by:The ability to discuss NIQ solutions apart from Retail Audit to clients.The ability to coach direct reports on appropriate solutions given the business issue presented.
  • Lead insight team to allocate human/budget resources for better cost efficiency and enhance insight quality delivered to clients

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a University degree in any field
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in market research or FMCG/Service/Retail industry
  • Proven expert knowledge of the market research industry as well as key research techniques and methodologies
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and multivariate analysis
  • An effective communicator with the ability to interpret and present actionable insights through storytelling
  • Team(more than 3 people) lead experience is preferred
  • Good skill of Microsoft Office e.g. Excel (pivot table, vlookup) and PowerPoint  
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. An added advantage for the ability to communicate in Mandarin or Japanese
