Due to the business growth we are looking for a senior talent to be part within the Consumer Marketing Insights division of NielsenIQ. This role is responsible fostering client relationships and developing new ones by introducing new services and capabilities in order to generate briefs and RFQs. The Account Director manages a number of client accounts and projects, ensuring the quality execution and delivery of research engagements and making sure they are managed to time and on budget. This role will also supervise junior team members, providing clear direction and training on core research processes including commercial project management, questionnaire design and the preparation and delivery of quality reports and presentations for clients.
 

Responsibilities

  • Expanding the scope of influence with key clients across a wider range of products/services and greater depth of involvement
  • Further foster client relationships to increase the number of projects conducted with each client of responsibility.
  • The ability to take a research brief from a client and translate client business issues into research objectives through to recommended research design.
  • Engage in business development activities, including involvement in credentials and thought leadership initiatives in addition to assisting with preparation of project proposals.
  • Strong research skills including questionnaire/discussion guide development, the ability to draw on multiple data sources and the knowledge of what techniques can be deployed to address particular client research objectives.
  • Ability to tell a story through data and research, producing outstanding client reports that engage the audience and simplify the complex in order to provide clear guidance for action.
  • Be proactive and manage all communications with clients in a timely and clear manner, ensuring every project is an opportunity to build the client relationship and drive opportunities for future work.
  • Actively drive issue-based analyses, deliver proactive insights, and build effective analytical presentations and consultative storytelling to clients through insightful and actionable recommendations.
  • Perform other related functions that may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary educated. Post grad qualification preferred.
  • Experience in managing a team in consultancy research environment.
  • Ideally experience in working with the government sector
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand culture and cultural trends
  • Project management experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Skills in translating data into an attractive, meaningful and actionable report presentation (PowerPoint and experimentation with other visual deliverables desirable)

Additional Information

Remote-hybrid based role, must be physically located within New Zealand and candidate must be a Country/Region Resident.
