Job Description

Candidate should be experienced and detail-oriented Cash Application Team Lead to join our finance team. The candidate will take leadership of the team responsible for accurately applying cash transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely and precise processing. The Cash Application Team Lead will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency and solving the issues and queries of other team members along with his current portfolio.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: -

  • Provide effective leadership to the Cash Application team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee workload distribution and ensure team members adhere to established processes and timelines.
  • Supervise the daily cash application process, including the accurate posting and reconciliation of cash receipts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to cash applications in a timely manner.
  • Implement and enforce best practices to optimize the cash application workflow.
  • Focus on Targets received for Global On account cash reductions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounts receivable to address and resolve remittance-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment on cash application processes and priorities.
  • Continuously assess and enhance cash application processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement improvements and automation to streamline cash application workflows and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement best practice ways of working across the team.
  • Act as a delegate for the manager as needed, assuming responsibilities in their absence.

 

Personal and Professional Qualification: -

  • At least 7 years of experience in cash application & accounting operations
  • Experience relating to managing accounts receivable activities.
  • Deep understanding of banking terminology
  • Strong knowledge on the SAP software
  • Leadership experience of at least small team advantage
  • Competent in the use of MS Office (Excel)
  • Commerce postgraduate
