Engineer - Mid

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our Dynamics platform is based off of Azure on a common data model (CDM) and Microsoft Dataverse that leverage Power Platform to support things like CI/CD and integrations. When extending Dynamics applications, .Net is used to extend along with continuing to adopt the best in class cloud-native, low-code/no code technologies. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto and Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Developing tooling and automation across various teams within the organization.
• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Analyze client business processes to identify opportunities for improvements, perform gap analysis, document and translate business requirements into well-architected technical specifications and
• Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies; Azure Cloud Platform, Power Bi, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data lake, DevOps, RSAT
• Work hand in hand with Project managers, program managers and project teams to ensure successful implementations, while coaching and mentoring team members and facilitate peer reviews
• Knowledge of project implementation methodology, LCS and be quick to adapt as per project needs
• Intellectual curiosity, especially around emerging enterprise technologies
• Must have Critical thinking and problem-solving Risk assessment and issue analysis skills
• Understand the requirements and provide one or more options for the solution, utilizing Industry best practices.
• Perform hands-on solution design, proof-of-concepts and development and testing tasks as required in support of the implementation activities
• Work with cross functional team actively in solution design and implementation
• Perform technical solution reviews and provide recommendations to improve adoption and usage
• Must-Have Interpersonal Skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders’ partners of different backgrounds and in a multicultural environment
• Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies to ensure the stability of the system by configuring, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure.
• Managing code base via source control
• Configuring access rights among multiple cloud services used by the company
• Designing and implementing CI/CD flows and performing deployments
• Perform active monitoring of the system by defining alerts and reviewing logs
• Analyze the company environments for possible opportunities to improve performance and/or solve issues before and/or after client requests
• Handling and analyzing service interruptions and system issues
• Deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure services
• Communicate with the team of any impediments or design concerns
• Submit written reports regarding issues, backups, enhancements, and deployments
• Ongoing optimization to increase network, server, and database performance

• BS/MS Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of programming or technical experience in one or combination of the following areas: 
• Growth Mindset

• Unit/integration testing skills 
• Background in debugging and optimizing software 
• Familiarity with software best practices 
• Computer architecture fundamentals/background

• Experience with agile development 
• Preferably experience with Test Driven Development 
• Demonstrated history of success shipping high-quality code to production with React and Node
