NielsenIQ PnP (Price & Promotion) is a business unit that deals with statistical analysis and modeling aimed at providing customers with high value-added solutions on price and promotions decisions (evaluation of price replenishments and promotional plans).
We do two things at NielsenIQ. We measure performance for our clients and we use analytics to help our clients grow their business. Both measurement and analytics are important in their own right but it’s the connection of the two that delivers the insights & recommendations that are critical to our clients’ success.
Our Analytics team combines data and expertise to help our clients become more competitive and efficient through stronger, faster analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In the PnP Delivery area, the intern will be able to support the day-to-day management of analyses, contributing to the building of reports, presentations and participating in the analysis and interpretation of data in order to provide indications and recommendations to customers regarding prices and promotions. The intern will respond to basic requests and support the tutor in carrying out the various ongoing projects
- The intern will gain experience in sophisticated statistical analysis as well as the most advanced tools and key metrics for analysis
- Earning client trust and building relationships by delivering meaningful analysis
- Understanding the business needs of our client and applying solutions, with a specific focus on the price and promotion levers
- Analyzing information and contributing to presentations with other team members
- Understanding our tools and systems as well as the NielsenIQ product portfolio
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU
You will MAKE A DIFFERENCE by helping some of the largest FMCG manufacturers make the right choices for their growth strategies. You will partner with our clients and use data to explain what is happening with their brands and what they should do to improve business performance. Simply put, you will transform data into compelling stories. Working with your NielsenIQ colleagues you will build partnerships that allow you to better understand your clients’ business priorities and information needs. You'll use this knowledge to develop in-depth analytics and create insights to drive business growth.
REQUIREMENTS
- University education in Maths, Statistics or Econometrics / Quantitative methods for business
- Fluent in Italian and strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written
- Excellent skills in numerical analysis and reasoning. Able to analyze data and summarize it into a value story
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Interest in the consumer, distribution and advertising sector
- High knowledge of Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Curiosity and creativity
- Eager to further develop presentation skills
- Performs work accurately and effectively with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
