The Client Manager will be responsible for their client's satisfaction and engagement through insightful analysis, actionable recommendations, and proactive thought leadership focused on solving the strategic business needs of their stakeholders. The CM's role will include assisting clients with navigating through complex business challenges by providing insightful and actionable recommendations, contributing to overall client satisfaction and engagement, and developing your knowledge of your client's strategic business needs. You may also have responsibility for leading and developing direct reports.
Your success in this role will be driven by four key areas. First, accurately diagnosing and decomposing your client's business issues and successfully providing recommendations and insights will demonstrate your thought leadership and analytical aptitude. Second, you will demonstrate leadership of your client stakeholders by building strong relationships and increasing your knowledge of their strategic goals. Third, you will demonstrate knowledge of NIQ's tools, data assets, and programs. Lastly, you may have responsibility for leading and developing direct reports.
All client facing associates are part of the commercial and revenue management process. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying opportunities from client meetings and communications, socializing them to the right client leads, and supporting them so we can act on those opportunities. We are always listening to our clients, assessing how we can help, and driving value add through expanding our engagements and services.

Responsibilities
Support customer leadership: analyze, identify, plan and execute the customer account plan process
- Begin developing strategic and entrepreneurial spirit in understanding/thinking on how to influence change within the retailer as well as Nielsen.
- Assist in identifying and loading leads or opportunities with the customer team as directed
- Identify and share revenue opportunities with manager.
- Responsible for voice of customer arising from interactions with during insight delivery or sales cycle
- Develop good understanding of propriety NIQ tools and metrics and articulate opportunities to product teams
- Be the voice of the consumer by keeping our clients at the forefront of industry trends
- Help support any data inquires of a data issue for their client.
- Ensure the right clients' needs are prioritized for delivery
- Internal delivery tracking and scorecarding
- Perform data cleansing, write formulas to support analysis, create insights beyond what is visible in raw data.
- Manages delivery of one or more NIQ solutions according to client agreement for team to meet their financial objectives.
- With a high degree of urgency, uncover and disseminate retailer, manufacturer, and competitive intelligence with the team
- Model and live the NIQ Values and Behavior systems
- Implement the career management and performance management processes
- Grow your team and prepare for the next phase of their careers
- Develop an understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape
- Joint Business Planning and corporate governance process as assigned
- Drive engagement with the client regarding NielsenIQ strategic projects and initiatives
- Knows the client's strategic business needs and the key stakeholders accountable and the hard and soft needs.
- Daily point of contact for clients while managing multiple deadlines and projects
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their strategic business priorities and opportunities then proactively introduce creative thinking and NielsenIQ solutions and analytics.
- Ongoing education on NielsenIQ data and solutions with your clients while sharing fresh perspectives and innovative thinking
- Build strong partnerships with clients through ongoing engagement, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner
- Independently complete thorough analyses using NielsenIQ’s proprietary tools and multiple data sources to develop insights that drive value-added decision making and differentiated client outcomes
- Determine appropriate sources of data available to answer a business question. Solves problems: can easily articulate, decompose most problems. Regularly shares best practices linked to quality of client work.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate across NielsenIQ teams and bring new solutions and thought leadership to your client stakeholders
- Unlocking of new stakeholders / personas / budget holders
- Selling products and services for implementation
- Track the end-to-end process across multiple internal teams to ensure market share deliverables to the client are on time and high-quality
- Ensure pro-active insights and action-oriented solutions are delivered to clients
- Assist in setting reporting expectations across stakeholders
- Ad hoc projects and commitments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Ideally 3 - 6 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in syndicated data analysis in the FMCG or CPG, Retail, Consulting or Analytics
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Ability to articulate your point of view or recommendations in a clear and concise way both verbally and in writing
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience working with market trends/consumer behavior/panel insights
- Preferred experience with working with syndicated data and tools, e-commerce
- Related industries experience to include: Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, E-Commerce, Consulting, Category Management, Analytics
- Experience in client service environment and ability to develop, maintain and grow client relationships
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software
