Job Description

The primary role of the Consulting Manager – Analytics & Consulting RGM is to conduct analyses and develop insights, provide day-to-day pricing support, and effectively activate client’s through NielsenIQ solutions. The manager will primarily focus on Revenue Management, Optimization/Revenue Growth Management and NIQ’s Business Drivers solution.

He/she will be responsible for conducting analyses, simulating client plans, creating deliverable materials, supporting training/tool delivery and providing ad-hoc day-to-day pricing support. The candidate will develop relationships and understanding of client’s need to effectively analyze, derive, communicate, and enable business decisions. This position is a hybrid position, where the candidate is expected to be on-site about one day per week at the client’s headquarters in Skillman, NJ, primarily supporting and engaging with headquarters insights and sales organization (Insights/Analytics, RGM, Key Account Management and more).

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a pricing key business partner and support NIQ RGM (price and promotion) solutions for our client
  • Support core solutions’ analytics (e.g., brand ladders, pack price curves, price & promo simulations) leveraging the full capabilities of NIQ tools
  • Support client use of NIQ Business Drivers solution
  • Lead trainings of NIQ Revenue Management tools and Business Drivers
  • As needed, integrate NIQ results with client tools
  • Serve as primary liaison with client relating to on-going price and promotion needs
  • Work collaboratively with client Insights/Analytics team on a regular basis
  • Develop relationships across multiple function areas at client to activate NIQ price and promotion solutions to drive usage, decisions and outcomes

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in Market Research, Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting or Analytics
  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytic background
  • Demonstrated mastery in data analysis & application to client business issues
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Skilled & polished communicator, both verbal and written
  • Able to effectively communicate to small and large groups in meetings and presentations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes
  • Demonstrated strength in maintaining positive client relationships in complex situations & resolving client issues
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
  • CPG industry knowledge, experience, and acumen preferred
  • Expertise in Manufacturer Sales functions (RGM/Revenue Growth Management, RMO, Category Management, Key Account Analytics, Headquarters Sales, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or advanced/analytics degree preferred
