As a Dynamics 365 Principal Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our Dynamics platform is based off of Azure on a common data model (CDM) and Microsoft Dataverse that leverage Power Platform to support things like CI/CD and integrations. When extending Dynamics applications, .Net is used to extend along with continuing to adopt the best-in-class cloud-native, low-code/no code technologies. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto, Pune and Chennai.

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Understand the technical details of the project/application/system and prepare and execute SQL commands to manage and verify data.
  • Develop, publish, and execute test cases and test scripts for complex, distributed applications throughout the project life cycle and Develop test plans and user acceptance tests; and develop test data as needed.
  • Create, manage, and maintain efficiencies in the automated script execution and script development in addition to keeping abreast of automation best practices and create, execute, and automate SOAP UI scripts for Web Services testing.
  • Execute sanity, smoke, functional, security, regression, stress/performance, and load testing based on projects, applications, and services.
  • Participate in production implementation verification.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle; system testing best practices and methodologies; web application UI modeling and dynamic web applications; white box, gray box, and black box test development; and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Skills in: testing web applications, web services, and infrastructure applications; relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, Oracle), data modeling, SQL, and XML; automated testing tools (SOAP UI, Selenium Web Driver); and sanity, functional, regression, security, performance, and load testing.
  • Ability to: work with minimal assistance with a can-do attitude, understand the technical details of projects, applications, and systems; write test cases and execute testing within a web service environment; create test data to meet testing needs, establish processes for collecting data, data entry, and prioritizing defects reports for defect tracking tools, etc.; create traceability matrix of test cases to requirements; and work with cross functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field,
  • (6-7) years of experience in an appropriate field of electronic data processing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • (7) or more years of experience testing web applications and web services
  • (4) or more years of experience with rational databases and SQL and ETL.
  • (4) or more years of automation testing using Selenium using Web Driver.
  • (4) or more years of web service testing using SOAP UI and Experience testing large application initiatives
  •  Ability to test in a variety of settings and situations, including instances with no graphical user interface (GUI) (back-end processing, file processing, and/or interfaces between systems)
  • Experience writing test plans, test schedules, detailed test cases, test scenarios and documentation of defects covering both front end and back end testing.
  • Experience in a manual software testing role; must have performed functional, data validation, error handling and complete regression test cases.
  • Working knowledge of a typical Software Development Lifecycle and the appropriate milestones as it relates to quality assurance.
  • Ability to adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle methods and to ensure all documentation is in order to facilitate audit requirements
  • Applied knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, tools and technologies, including test plans, scenarios, strategies and related procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize tasks and interact with development team
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines and must be able to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
