Job Description

This role is accountable for the translation of the global commercial strategy for BASES Line & Price Specialty Solutions to the North America region as well as meeting financial targets in the region. It entails creating a strategy to retain existing clients and attract new ones in this space via both direct Specialty Sales outreach as well as in collaboration with Account Development. The NA Region L&P Sales Directors are accountable for accurately managing an active sales pipeline with consistent sales forecasting for their region as well as prospecting, value creation, negotiating and closing deals. 

This role will also support the Global Specialty Sales Leader in setting the global commercial strategy and in helping to craft the toolkit of the future that will win in this space and achieve sustained growth. 

Strategy/ L&P Practice Development 

  • Support Global L&P Specialty Sales leader (GSSL) in the creation of the vision and strategy of the global practice as well as overarching objective for the NA region 
  • Translate and execute global vision/strategy for the specialty area in the NA region 
  • Partner with GSSL and Product Leadership for product updates or new product launches 
  • Revenue & Drive BASES Penetration 
  • Own revenue target/quota for L&P aligned to clients in the NA region 
  • Drive profitable growth – ensure appropriate cost to revenue for L&P solutions across region 
  • Craft client engagement plans alongside Account Development 
  • Team with Account Development to understand client business strategies impacting L&P and formulate a plan to propose BASES solutions 
  • Strive to integrate L&P with other solutions from BASES or NIQ 
  • Where applicable directly engage with Client – drive revenue directly 
  • Own or support ADs in proposal development for relevant L&P-specific opportunities. 
  • Own BASES’ response/proposal creation for the following: 
  • First time/early stages of service use leading to routine business 
  • Large/complicated study designs 
  • L&P Practice Area-specific RFP’s 
  • Generally, any opportunities that aren’t “inbound” 
  • Expand BASES’ client footprint via L&P (penetrate new divisions/functions/C-suite) 

L&P Specialty Spokesperson 

  • Identify important thought leadership/meta-analytic topic areas that would help advance the practice 
  • Drive business results through consultative selling and leveraging thought leadership and case studies to help further develop client relationships 
  • Clearly and convincingly articulate BASES L&P offerings and value proposition, matching them with relevant client business challenges/KPIs 
  • Objection handling and overcoming resistance from both current and prospective clients 
  • Obtaining client testimonials and case studies 

Working Across BASES 

  • Partner with Customer Success to effectively translate client/proposal requirements for relevant L&P projects and engagements 
  • Support the end-to-end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources such as ADs, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance. 
  • Ensure internal processes are followed for L&P sales, including adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes. 
  • Maintain broader BASES product/technical knowledge by participating in learning workshops/sessions across tools. 
  • Model appropriate behaviors across the job responsibilities of collaboration, study design/pricing, and job coordination.
