Job Description

As Retailer Engagement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to maximize Retailer Interaction, understand data analysis and build strong relationships with our clients – all in order to continuously improve the quality of our deliverables. This role will enable you to continuously improve how data is received and delivered – by optimizing data input, improving data quality, and ensuring on-time output. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Driving Retailer Quality KPIs and building supplier (retailer) improvement processes and technology solutions 
  • Working closely with Nielsen internal stakeholders to establish an interaction process with retailers 
  • Being responsible for retention and penetration activities of existing retailers and improvement of the quality of the data received from the retailer 
  • Identifying best practices used by the top retailers and making recommendations for enhancements to internal Nielsen Operations processes 
  • Communicating with retailer IT departments (at all levels) on an ongoing basis regarding input-data quality and future retailer input-data changes 
  • Conducting all data investigations where the issue is traced back to retailer input and work with retailer and Nielsen Operations to correct input errors. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (preferably Information Technology) and/or Certifications in Database Management System in Oracle or Microsoft  
  • 1-2 years of experience in client facing role 
  • Fluent communication in English & French is a must
  • Interest in Big Data and Retail Industry 
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Python is a strong asset 
  • Good knowledge of Advanced Microsoft Excel 
  • Team and client oriented with good communication skills to liaise with retailers questions 
  • Able to work under pressure of deadlines 
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail 
  • Strong project management skills.
