What you’ll do
As a VP of product, you’ll be at the heart of creating the product strategy for our Retail Analytics practice and lead a team that creates scalable analytic tools that bring NielsenIQ’s data to the heart of the decisions our clients make every day. You can expect to work in a cross-functional, global team building out our next generation of Activate and Discover retailer platforms. These platforms are the center of NielsenIQ’s technology evolution, enabling rapid innovation at scale to solve retailers’ needs.
You’ll be a good fit if
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced, flexible team with diverse backgrounds to obsess over client’s needs.
- You can translate commercial and client needs into Business Cases, working with a cross functional team to size the business opportunity and resources needed to bring products to life.
- You can translate ideas into documented requirements and lead a team to do the same, while working with your peers in data science, technology, and operations to create working teams and processes that bring products to market.
- You have a detailed understanding of the way retailers operate and client needs and pain points with a thirst to talk to more clients and implement creative ways to solicit feedback.
- You aren’t afraid to form new connections, contribute your ideas and expertise, while listening and learning from others.
- You are able to articulate product strategy, technical implementation, and operational process to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- You are an expert in managing products through various phases of the product development lifecycle excited by the prospect of owning the delivery of your product to meet the goals, customer segments and use cases defined for your product.
- You enjoy working in the gray or unknown - defining the undefined, challenging the status quo, and solving uncharted business challenges.
You’ll come right up to speed if
- You have a Post Graduate degree in Data Analytics, or Business.
- You have 10+ years of experience across roles in Product, Data Science, or Retail Analytics.
- You have multicultural communication skills and can present information in a simple and compelling way to a variety of stakeholders.
- You have assembled functional working teams to align on a common objective as well as written business cases or managed an existing business unit.
- You have an expertise in utilizing data to highlight solutions for clients, experience with Machine Learning/AI is a plus.
- You have experience working with Retailers or at a Retailer.
- You can think both strategically while simultaneously diving into the details across technology and data science.
- You can balance working in a matrixed environment with multiple initiatives to devise a plan that moves the company and product forward.
