Job Description
Play a coordination role in Communications COE in Latin America, supporting a multi-pronged communications plan that aligns with the company’s business growth objectives and overall strategy. This role will be responsible in executing communications activities (internal, external, public relations and social media) to strengthen NIQ’s reputation and leadership position as a thought leader and influencer, working as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
Write press releases, develop key messages and media Q&As, write and edit bylined articles and columns
Assist in the execution of all media relations campaigns to promote the business’ expertise in business, trade and consumer press
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with key regional T1 & T2 media/journalists for better management of media activities
Demonstrate writing skills, including writing strategic plans, messaging and press materials; and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines
Identify media opportunities and develop appropriate content
Support on day-to-day media relations/media requests in coordination with PR Agencies in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
Spokespeople coordination / communications coaching for internal and external activities (interviews, presentations, storytelling, speaking platforms, panels, internal events)
Work with our Regional and Global TL team to stay abreast of the latest material, news and events.
Writing and speaking skills related to internal communications strategies, internal notes, organizational announcements, engagement campaigns and DEI strategies
Organization and support of internal events as town hall meetings, leadership comms sessions, internal summits
Use of internal communications tools (Poppulo, Teams, Webinars software) for internal communications activities
Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications (in public relations/strategic communications/marketing, corporate communications, and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing)
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field
Fluency in English (written and spoken), Portuguese will be a plus
Experience in communications in consumer packaged goods, retail, advertising or media industries preferred
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams for internal and external affairs (Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, etc.)
Experience working with industry associations to promote and manage speaking platforms, relationship and trade shows
Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail oriented
