Job Description

The Associate Client Director is responsible for client management and relationships, delivering on the client’s strategic priorities, the revenue management process, and business development.

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive improved relationships with key client contacts across all areas of the client, increase client penetration, and improve awareness of NielsenIQ products and services to drive increased revenue sales growth.  
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional NielsenIQ Client Business Partners, Client Teams and Practice Areas across all NielsenIQ areas (POS, Panel, Innovation/BASES, Analytics, Technology, Retail, Consumer Insights, Spectra, Connect Partners, Big Data, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with all partners to ensure Total Client revenue goals are achieved via business development efforts 
  • Consult with clients to understand strategic business priorities and opportunities for engagement 
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify and deliver analytical insights that translate into actionable strategies and tactics to improve performance and deliver value against our products. 
  • Collaborate with Practice Areas and client teams to ensure analyses drive value and result in client action 
  • Develop a clear understanding of NielsenIQ products and solutions. 
  • Work all deals through the formalized NielsenIQ Enterprise Sales Process, and properly document the process and status in Microsoft Dynamics. 
  • Drive high customer satisfaction willingness to recommend NielsenIQ to others in the industry. 

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of experience in the CPG industry and/or related sales, category management, market research/analytics space, including POS/Panel data 
  • Prior experience with NielsenIQ (or similar) solutions preferred 
  • Consultative client skills and innovative problem-solving skills 
  • Proven experience in successfully leading complex client relationships 
  • Proven track record of building client engagement 
  • Experience building relationship and consensus with clients 
  • Ability to successfully influence and negotiate with clients, colleagues, and Executives/management.  
  • Ability to write and deliver effective proposals and presentations 
  • Proven track record in market research and project management 
  • Strong knowledge of the CPG industry and client organizations 
  • Proven and quantifiable overachievement of revenue, sales and profitability objectives; strong pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency 
  • Proven skills managing selling cycles from four week to six months in duration 
  • Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree a plus
