Working with over 52,000 brands, we capture over 300 attributes per product that can be syndicated across third party applications. With over 50 million products distributed globally, content licensing allows you to access rich nutritional information that can enrich a consumer’s product knowledge. 

Currently we are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Team in London.

As Business Development Executive, you will be primarily focused on creating a sales strategy and pipeline to launch new SaaS based services like Rich Media to our existing and net new customers. You will also be responsible for generating new clients and partnerships NielsenIQ Brandbank does not have today in various sectors like Pharma and H&B. 

Job Description

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:  

  • Identifying and develop new customers strategically through intelligent sales processes, sales figure analysis and ongoing high level contact relations  
  • Identifying partner organizations to support our business growth goals 
  • Presenting Nielsen Brandbank to potential clients through all communication channels including face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails 
  • Create a business strategy and present this to influential sponsors within new clients
  • Selling in Nielsen Brandbank services and translate business/functional strategies into specific business plans to execute against your clients
  • Manage responses to tenders & Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other requests for information in a timely and organized manner, delegating to the Pre-Sales Team where applicable 
  • Work effectively within your team and all other functional areas (Commercial, Operations, Technology, Business Development and Finance/HR) to ensure the smooth running of the Nielsen Brandbank business 
  • Accurately forecasting revenue to Head of Retail UK & IE, ensuring there is a consistently strong pipeline to deliver core targets. 
  • Work closely with NielsenIQ Retail leads to engage clients, inform strategic growth plans, and develop new services and solutions to help grow our business in the UK. IE & DK markets  

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable sales experience (at least 2 years), with a proven track record of managing revenue targets, with a strong desire to consistently overachieve against both personal targets and objectives 
  • Good knowledge of the UK&IE Market
  • Good level of experience in the strategic sales planning and implementation, including experience of pipeline management
  • An ability to present at Board Level and below and to build relationships with customers of all sizes & types, in order to fully understand their objectives and content solutions
  • An understanding of product content and rich media management (preferably shopper content) and its application across businesses 
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize workload and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages a bonus)  with strong presentation skills
  • Capable of hands-on problem solving, and able to analyse processes to generate ideas and solutions and lead a team to do the same
