Job Description

  • Will enforce and support the definition and execution of technical services and strategies that provide NielsenIQ with highly reliable, secure, flexible, and cost effective TIBCO services. 
  • Will partner closely with key customers, business, and IT team members to plan, implement, manage & support the appropriate capabilities and activities (i.e., policies, processes, standard operating procedures, team/skills, measures and tools) to successfully address the TIBCO Services requirements. 
  • Troubleshoot backend and frontend applications running on Linux and Windows. 
  • Backend support for a wide range of  applications (Tibco and non-Tibco), including setup, troubleshooting, upgrading and tunning. 
  • Setting up and managing distributed and three-tier applications. 
  • Monitor applications, resolve issues and proactively address warnings. 
  • Document new procedures and constantly update and improve existing documentation. 
  • Provide technical guidance and educate junior team members. 
  • Define and follow best practices and procedures as established by the team and the organization. 
  • Must be available for weekend and evening work when applicable due to project deadlines, problems, production hours of operation. Be able to fulfill several different types of work shifts  - On-call, Rotation, Fixed, First, Second, Third, and Split. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer sciences, engineering, management information systems or another IT-related field.  
  • 3+ years of experience with IT solutions 
  • Minimum 3 years’ TIBCO experience 
  • Preferred experience with cloud computing architectures (Azure) 
  • Support for integration technologies including but not limited to TIBCO Integration suite of tools (TIBCO Admin, BusinessWorks, EMS, etc) 
  • Support for Managed File Transfers technologies and protocols including but not limited to TIBCO MFT (Command Center, Internet Server, Platform Server) 
  • Linux and Windows operating systems 
  • Automation and scripting in Bash and Python, Groovy and Java. 
  • Linux and Windows administration. 
  • A variety of technology areas including networking, storage, security and cloud. 
  • Cloud service provider experience including but not limited to Azure and AWS  
  • Strong skills with TIBCO for architecture, maintenance, support, upgrades, security risk assessment  
  • Strong knowledge with SaaS Vendors and its integration environment  
  • Strong knowledge on Fail-over and load balancing concepts in TIBCO environment  
  • Strong knowledge on TIBCO Admins, scripts, deployments, debugging features, security certs.  
  • Strong skills with TIBCO EMS tool (includes topics, queues, bridges, MQ-JMS communication, etc.)  
  • Strong skills with TIBCO MFT Command Center, Internet Server and Platform Server 
  • Strong knowledge of transfer protocols and certificate and key management. 
  • Capacity planning experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of client-side and server-side scripting languages  
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL query  
  • Analytical problem solver with good communication skills (oral and written)  
  • Performs with a strong sense of professionalism and tact. Must be able to communicate effectively to IT and Business 
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented individual. Demonstrated record of initiative, adaptability and decision making  
  • Must have the ability to work individually and as part of a technical team  
  • Proven ability to seek out and solve problems; go beyond the obvious to gain insight into areas which have broader impact on the company's overall performance  
  • Strong understanding of business principles and operational drivers  
  • Strong understanding of web application testing technologies, methods, and techniques  
  • Experience in automation and scripting in Bash and Python, Groovy and Java. 
  • Experience with Linux and Windows administration. 
  • Must have experience in a variety of technology areas including networking, storage, security and cloud. 
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies
