The Finance Business Partner is a member of the NielsenIQ Corporate Finance team and will directly support the Global Real Estate Leader and organization. This is a fast paced, ever changing space that is redesigning the NielsenIQ real estate footprint across the globe. The Business Partner will be crucial to helping execute the overall real estate strategy and proper monthly financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Support Real Estate to meet their financial commitments which include significant reduction of global real estate expense over the next 3 years
Directly mentor a financial analyst
Oversee month end and quarter end closing with financial analyst assistance and ensure accurate financial results partnering with global controllership team
Analyze financial results to be able to provide variance commentary and accurate monthly/quarterly forecasts
Track and report progress on expense savings targets on a monthly basis
Lead OPEX/CAPEX budget process for real estate in the second half of the year
Drive process simplification and automation especially around the real estate portfolio details and expense forecast
Partner with Chief Transformation Officer, Real Estate leader, and regional leadership team to meet their needs and be an effective finance business partner
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
6+ years’ experience in Finance
Experience with managing people preferred
Understanding of core Accounting principles
Must have a strong work ethic, self-motivated work style and a good attention to detail
Enjoy a fast paced and dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities
Individual contributor and team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft suite; experience with SAP Financial and Hyperion Financial Management systems a plus
This will be a hybrid role - so must be commutable to the downtown Chicago office on a weekly basis.
