About the job

Measuring what consumers buy is at the core of Nielsen. We track consumer behavior for more than 250,000 households in 25 countries through our industry-leading consumer panel, which is a part of the Consumer Intelligence business. We also work with clients across the FMCG industry on research & analytic projects to unlock growth opportunities for their brands. Responsible for applying mathematics, statistics, and econometrics into reality to understand the dynamics of the market and thus help the client in their strategies, supporting clients across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. We are looking for analyst who are enthusiast to join Nielsen analytics modeling team working on Assortment or Market Structure projects

 

Responsibilities

·         Understand the dynamics of the regression models and understand what variables should be included in each model to generate valuable information output for the client.

·         Explain to the consultants of the commercial area the study results carried out so that they can approach them to the client.

·         Carry out an exhaustive control of the information included in the project to minimize errors and obtain high-quality results.

·         Work seamlessly with Nielsen associates across geographies on a daily basis.

 

About you

You’ve dabbled in research and analytics. You have the communication chops to translate it all into conversation or presentations. While you may have worked with global cross-functional teams, you can also put your head down and focus on independent projects. Seeing the big picture takes attention to details. You know what’s happening in big data and you’re ready to influence what’s next.

 

Qualifications

·         Foundational knowledge of statistical methods

·         Analytical mind and problem-solving skills

·         Familiarity with programming language like Python and visualization tools like Tableau, Spotfire would be an asset

·         Good communication skills (both oral & written in English)

·         Team player

·         Previous Experience of running Market Structure or Assortment projects would be an added advantage
