Work Arrangement: REMOTE

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be a part of the retail analytics division of NielsenIQ, working with a highly Agile and skilled team of other engineers who are proud to partner with some of the world’s leading retailers on challenging, cutting-edge, data driven solutions, powered by technology, and people. This is a highly technical role that will allow you to be involved in the building reports, dashboards, visualizations using Python, Snowflake, BI and cloud technologies. 

What you’ll do 

• Develop custom reports for industry leading interactive retail analytics.  

• Work as part of a team to design, develop and deploy systems with multiple customizations.  

• Develop with system integration in mind, mainly in context of data flow into and from multiple data sources.  

• Continually develop technical expertise to ensure that customer solutions are efficient.  

• Consistently develop with performance in mind to optimize end user experience.   

• Work with architects and senior team members to identify new tools and technologies where applicable to expand customer offerings through automation.  

• Research and take advantage of new technology to improve and expand solutions.  

• Participate in peer code reviews and troubleshoot and correct software/reports/data quality defects. 

Experience ideal candidate will have:

• 2-3 years of developing end-to-end solutions.  

• Skilled in Python or any other programming language Java, JavaScript . 

• Exposure to data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Excel or other BI tools.  

• Basic Linux command line and Shell scripting 

• Database – SQL Server, Snowflake, Postgres.  

• Experience with cloud computing such as Azure and AWS.  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or other related disciplines.  

• Python 

• SQL (SQL server, Snowflake) 

• MS Excel (Charts, Pivot table, Slicers, Formulas) 

• MicroStrategy. Power BI 

• Azure: ADF, Web Apps
