Our NielsenIQ Brandbank team in Norwich is growing and we are looking for a new
PRE SALES CONSULTANT to join us!

NielsenIQ Brandbank operates in 39 global markets; powering the FMCG ecommerce industry with best-in-class, accurate data. Working with over 52,000 brands, we capture over 300 attributes per product that can be syndicated across third party applications. With over 50 million products distributed globally, content licensing allows you to access rich nutritional information that can enrich a consumer’s product knowledge. 

As Pre Sales Consultant, you facilitate all non-standard client opportunities in parallel with the NielsenIQ Brandbank global Client teams and directly with clients. You will be working with the customer from the start of engagement through to deal closure, subsequently handing over to the Client Delivery or Project Management teams to deliver. You will also be expected to deliver small-scale projects yourself. The role encompasses a variety of tasks including (but not limited to) pre-sales support, requirements gathering, client presentations and project co-ordination which will involve working within clients’ organizations.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting all client teams in communicating our service to customers, gathering and interpreting customer requirements and liaising with our internal Client Integration, IT Development, and Operations functions to design end-to-end solutions to meet these needs.   
  • Acting as the primary subject matter expert for Commercial teams as well as clients and act as a liaison.   
  • Taking an active role in the delivery of projects.   
  • Acting as a product/service ‘genius’ to commercial sales associates with the ability to ‘translate’ service technicalities into commercially orientated features and benefits.   
  • Developing a broad understanding of a client's internal processes and balancing this with a clear understanding of our own product and service development plans and roadmap and an awareness of emerging technologies, to determine what is and is not possible for us to deliver.   
  • Consulting and delivering analytical reports as part of Professional Service delivery to our clients.   
  • Working closely with the Data Science team to scope and deliver bespoke analytics for clients  

REQUIREMENTS

  • Level of technical understanding and the ability to approach tasks in a logical manner   
  • An understanding of (product) data and its application within the industry.   
  • Ability to quickly grasp a clear understanding of a client’s needs and translate them to a set of requirements and well-planned solution deliverables.   
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills including running workshops, building customer rapport.   
  • Experience of Product Information Management (PIM) systems and Master Data Management (MDM) systems preferred. Proficient in Microsoft office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).   
  • Experience within a pre-sales or professional services role working in a digital environment or similar is preferred.
