Job Description

In this role you will become part of the Global Operations Transformation (GOT) team that develops new ideas and prototypes aiming at automating operational processes. You will work on building, maintaining and testing solutions for NIQ operations worldwide.

As part of the team, you will work in agile methodology delivering working prototypes
that address a particular business need and making sure that solutions are properly documented and ready for internal handover or go-live.

Working within the enablement area of the GOT team, you will ensure the critical customer and operational requirements are translated into technology.

Combine Nielsen process expertise with technology skills to develop internal automation solutions - be accountable for development of solutions in Python/ R/ SQL -

Expand your tech stack to meet new needs and adopt new internal opportunities - follow best programming principles as to code documentation, versioning, testing etc - engage with stakeholders to prove value and provide insights from tests and prototypes

Become internal expert on technology aspects and advise various Nielsen stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Science, Technology, Math or Engineering background will be an asset)

Minimum 2 years of experience in an operations environment and 1 year experience as specialist delivering automation

Work experience in services, SSC and BPO sector would be an asset.

Project Management background is an asset

Excellent analytical skills including data cleaning, mining and big data manipulation

Proven programming experience using Python common libraries and proficiency in SQL - Generalist that is interested in a broad spectrum of technologies and is open to learning and exploring them: could applications, machine learning, Microsoft Power Platform - Understanding of data science project lifecycle

Understanding of machine learning concepts and openness to expand skills to ML - Ability to extract system information for the relevant tables and draw insights from data, to design practical and scalable solutions

Interest to work in unspecified fields independently with experimentation projects and synthesize results

Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset

Strong communication skills, being able to explain complex terms to non-technical audiences

Fluency in English (written and spoken)
