Job Description

Job purpose:

Support the business needs from product and commercial teams on exist product, and process the R&D and improvement for new products.

Analyzing large amounts of data captured by NielsenIQ’s research team to arrive at insights regarding trends as well as opportunities for further study/drilldown.

Work hand in hand with the product team to explain to them the specific aspects of the studies being undertaken and help the client better understand the data in a more intelligible way through a simple, but effective methodology.

Establish clear insight through visualization or statistical analysis from data to explain why presenting such results.

Engage and align with multiple stakeholders on data requirements as well as in design for new studies.

Test new methods, software and workflows constantly and check if they can improve productivity.

 

Core job responsibilities:

Cooperate with other relevant teams to improve data products.

Be responsible for the data processing, cleaning, analysis and modeling in the project.

Be responsible for the output of data analysis and visualization in the project.

Conduct various studies within departments in NielsenIQ for updating, improving and creating new data and methods and algorithms.

Understand customer needs and transform them into clearer business conclusions from NielsenIQ data.

Work closely with product and commercial teams in product developing to ensure they meet the framework of data and NielsenIQ retail analysis methodologies.

Qualifications

Experience and knowledge required: (Symbols: E= required, P= preferred.)

E- major in statistics, mathematics, analytical marketing, etc., bachelor degree or above.

E- have experience in machine learning or data mining related projects.

E- proficient in SQL statements and familiar with the operation of common databases.

E- proficient in Python.

E- understand common methods of data processing and data analysis.

P- good data analysis and modeling skill

P- good communication skills and team spirit, strong learning ability, able to work under pressure.

P- e-commerce data or geographic data development experience is preferred.
