Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

In this role, you will be in charge of administering, reviewing, and validating sales contracts in order to recognize revenue and establish a billing plan in accordance with Global and Regional policies and procedures. You will partner with relevant Client Service teams to drive USGAAP & statutory compliance. You will also support all other revenue and billing processes including closing and reconciliations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- Customer calls, and any correspondence, customer reconciliations in order to follow-up collection in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment
  • Escalate with Revenue Controller and CS to determine actions in conjunction with the commercial area to recover past-due portfolio resources based on internal Nielsen process
  • Providing customer service regarding collection issues, process, and reviewing account adjustments, resolving client disputes and short payments
  • To ensure that the invoices created in the SAP system are sent to the customers via the E-Invoice Portal
  • Making reconciliations of current account and BS form and deal with any problem
  • Prepare billing runs and perform month-end activities related to revenue and receivables
  • Perform revenue recognition in accordance with US-GAAP criteria and maintain relevant documentation for auditing purposes
  • Ensure revenue accounting is appropriate and accurate is performed in accordance with US-GAAP
  • Provide regional input on revenue reporting to the Revenue Controller
  • Perform the controls on revenue processes in scope and ensure adequate controllership is maintained at all times; flag to the Revenue Controller in exceptional cases
  • Ensure regional statutory compliance related to revenue accounting; monitor and provide guidance on related statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audit

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU

You love performing the collection process in order to ensure payment of invoices according to the policies and procedures in a company, together with the Commercial team and under control of the Revenue Controller. Collecting accounts receivable allowing its operation in terms of Nielsen cash flow sounds appealing to you. 

 REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in relevant programs such as Management, Economics, Accounting
  • New graduate or  up to 1 year of experience in Accounting
  • Good command of English and Turkish
  • Good command of Microsoft Office applications (esp. Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Military service should have been completed (for male candidates)
