Job Description

Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new “Connect” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow.

As a Senior Python Engineer, you will work closely with our research teams to support the release of Machine Learning solutions in cloud environments and you are eager to understand complex systems top to bottom and thrive working across technologies and codebases.

What you’ll do:  

  • Create and maintain a scalable infrastructure to deliver AI/ML processes, responding to user requests in near real-time.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including software engineers, product managers, operations, and research scientists, identify opportunities for business impact, understand, refine, and prioritize requirements for machine learning models, drive engineering decisions, and quantify the impact.
  • Hands-on development, production, and operate Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale, including both batch and real-time use cases.
  • Leverage third-party and in-house Machine Learning tools & infrastructure to develop reusably, highly differentiating and high-performing Machine Learning systems

We’re looking for people who have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent numerate discipline 
  • Strong Programming (Python/Java/C++ or equivalent) and data engineering skills.
  • Experience with 3 or more of these techologies: Jenkins, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Kubernetes, Docker, AzureML Studio
  • Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale software applications (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms, models).
  • Experience in applied Machine Learning,
  • Experience with test driven development, familiar with A/B testing, incremental delivery and deployment.
