About the job
Our Data Science teams help to provide NielsenIQ clients with the most complete understanding of the market and its consumers. As a Data Scientist in Design Center, your primary focus would be to integrate different data sources and turn data into information. You will take part in exciting projects within the design area, aimed at developing products we deliver to our clients.
Apart from that, you will also be responsible for the deployment of innovative solutions and contribute to further improvement, automation, and simplification of the existing methodologies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Universe Estimation and Sampling theory application for the Retail Measurement Service along with facilitating the analysis of the results
- Engagement with stakeholders, communication, and data exchange with other teams
- Work in a virtual multi-country environment
- Usage of dedicated software supported by ad hoc programming and data mining
- Dynamic work with opportunities for innovations and tools development
About you
You are passionate about numbers and data analysis and have a strong statistical background. You know how to handle samples and make them representative, or you want to learn more in this area. Dealing with data is your daily routine: processing huge databases, cleaning, programming, testing. Innovation is your middle name and when you spot a gap in a product or solution you take the opportunity to suggest your ideas. On top of that, you have effective communication skills and can explain advanced concepts in a simple way.
Requirements
- Educational and/or professional background in statistics/ mathematics/ econometrics/ data modelling or related fields
- Competency in one or more programming languages (R, Python, SQL or another language)
- Experience working with queries and large-scale databases
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Organizational skills to manage projects (time management, prioritization, deadlines)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English language skills
