Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To develop & grow the shopper business across FMCG Manufacturers and Retailers in North Asia Pacific

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Business Targets

  • Ensure the generation of required revenue from shopper business overall and across key shopper products in order to meet the North Asia and Pacific Shopper Targets

2.Footprint & Presence

  • To develop the business plan and GTM strategy for North Asia and Pacific
  • To interact with major clients to better understand their Shopper needs as well as build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within client organization
  • To attend and lead shopper related client meetings in conjunction with the Regional/ Local teams- in person or virtual
  • Work with the local markets for the preparation and delivery of credentials and winning proposals.
  • Guide teams on different stages of a Shopper project- Material development, analysis and insights presentation
  • To present in key conferences and webinars on Shopper- Products, evolving shopper landscape and emerging trends

3.Identify Client needs:

  • To Identify the Syndicated Shopper needs for North Asia and Pacific- regional or market level
  • To identify the emerging client business needs to feed into the product development pipeline
  • To work with clients on their Omni Channel Shopper Needs

4.Branded Products

  • To identify and recommend NielsenIQ branded solutions that answer clients' business needs

5.People Management

  • Overall talent development for Shopper in Asia
  • Working collaboratively with other businesses in NielsenIQ to meet the client needs

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree preferably in Marketing, Research or a Business related field,
  • 8 - 10 extensive years working experience in Market Research or Business Analytics and Client Servicing; with solid Market Research processes and structure understanding
  • Good knowledge of research methods, analysis, and tools
  • Experience in client -side job (Manufacturer/ Retailer) 
  • Knowledge of FMCG and Retail industry
  • Knowledge of shopper research will be a plus
  • Experience with people management,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Strong business acumen, strategic perspective, and good knowledge of market dynamics
  • Fluent English
  • Good organizational skills,
  • Competent negotiator with effective influencing skills.
