Associate Client Director, Manufacturer Client Engagement & Strategic Growth - U.S.

As an Associate Client Director you will be responsible for insights and sales activities for assigned clients. You will work collaboratively with other leaders on the Customer and Sales teams. You responsibilities will include: 

  • NielsenIQ’s customer success strategy to retain our existing customer base, develop and nurture customer advocates, and identify and capture opportunities for customer expansion.

  • Lead client team through designing, selling, executing and presenting analytic studies to meet client’s research objectives

  • Support development of a Sales Plan for the assigned client

  • Maintain an understanding of client stakeholders, penetrate, and establish enduring client relationships with senior decision makers at clients by demonstrating on-going value by driving client outcomes

  • Ensure pro-active insights and action oriented solutions are delivered to clients

  • Identify opportunities to collaborate across Nielsen teams and uncover sales opportunities with clients.

  • Achieve targeted goals for sales, customer retention, and expansion. 

  • Work closely with functional teams (e.g. Customer Success, Sales) to ensure customer needs are being prioritized and addressed appropriately

  • Transfer client feedback and market desires to product teams in support of solution enhancements

 

About You          

Using your advanced consultative expertise, previous CPG/Manufacturer experience and familiarity with NielsenIQ data, you are able to develop purposeful business insights to help your client make action oriented business decisions.  You have well-honed consulting skills that enable you to establish credibility with senior client leadership and deliver measurable business results.  You can leverage your analytic and sales skills to drive your business segment in order to meet strategic sales goals, ensure clients are getting the most value out of their NielsenIQ  relationship and are comfortable seeking opportunities for additional client engagement. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus  

  • Experience with FMCG and Sales Analytics

  • Experience with Customer Success or a related role, with a focus on team leadership, account planning, and management                                     

  • 8+ years’ applicable experience preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry

  • Analytical aptitude including previous experience working in the areas of pricing, promotion and/or assortment analytics

  • Strong category management or retail analytics experience 

  • Highly Proficient in a variety of Software Solutions and Digital Technologies including Google Suite, Microsoft applications including Excel and Powerpoint..        

  • Proven experience at successfully meeting sales revenue targets

  • Understands field sales use cases for manufacturing clients

  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Salesforce

  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus

  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills                     

  • Skilled & polished communicator, including group presentations & proposal writing 

  • Ability to sell Nielsen solutions that help our clients meet strategic goals.  

  • Strong project management skills & "story-telling" abilities

  • Skilled at developing relationships with clients to become a trusted and value-added business partner

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills, particularly with customers

  • Retailer knowledge, including knowledge of consumer and category insights a plus

  • Experience working with complex client relationships including client issue resolution
