As a new retail landscape continues to emerge, there is more pressure on both retailers and manufacturers to not only manage their supply chain but to also understand in-store drivers of sales. At NielsenIQ we understand the importance of establishing an effective pricing and promotion strategy is important to drive profitable and sustainable growth. Having a strategic view into performance is critical for the long-term success of many CPG brands. 

As a Director Sales Development, Analytics, you are responsible for leading thought leadership and sales engagements across our portfolio of analytic solutions. This role will focus on building industry awareness and reputation while developing commercial strategies to renew and achieve new business as well as protecting existing clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Representing Nielsen externally, in thought leadership, as part of industry conferences and/or with the media 
  • Leading commercial strategy and sales enablement of NielsenIQ’s Analytic solutions as part of client contract renewals or RFPs 
  • Support sales teams with lead generation to achieve revenue objectives 
  • Developing strategies to win based on client segmentation and product market fit
  • Building meaningful industry and client relationships
  • Align NielsenIQ analytic solutions around thought provoking industry and client needs to generate demand
  • Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners

Are you an excellent people leader with the ability to support, mentor and inspire creative solution selling? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to work collaboratively, as part of a remote team within a dynamic and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience in working with complex industry and client relationships and client issue resolution?

QUALIFICATIONS 

·       10-15+ years’ experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales)

·       Strong communication and presentation skills

·       Previous experience working in the areas of forecasting, pricing and promotional effectiveness preferred

·       Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment

·       Prior sales experience preferred 

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Salesforce 

·       Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus

Location can be anywhere in continental United States and Canada.
