About the Role: 

The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports Nielsen IQ’s Consumer Insights team in the technology, telecom, auto and finance industries. The position will work with the Global Marketing Leader to focus on outreach as it relates to identifying and engaging with each vertical's target clients. They will be responsible for executing on a multitude of high priority, vertical specific marketing and communications strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self starter who is client-service oriented, resourceful, collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

The successful candidate will join a progressive, dynamic, and results-oriented team, and will serve as the point person for managing marketing & communications efforts. This position offers the opportunity to be at the center of high-visibility, high-priority marketing initiatives. 

Responsibilities: . 

  • Execute strategic marketing plans in a tenacious and proactive way to fully engage each vertical’s target clients. 

  • Activate marketing campaigns, which may include target emails, paid ads, social media, press releases, marketing partnerships, industry events, landing pages, and content syndication. 

  • Assist with key strategic marketing initiatives.

  • Supports and monitors the scheduling and production deadlines to meet internal and external client requests and deadlines for communications materials and distribution channels.

  • Responsible for writing, editing and quality control of a variety of marketing materials.

  • Supports managing the translation of content and materials into different languages.

  • Supports scheduling and production deadlines to meet internal and external client requests and deadlines.

  • Assist with global strategic priorities when needed and critical local internal communications needs. 

  • When relevant, measure impact and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Work with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to refine and execute strategic plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher 

  • 5-7 years of relevant marketing & communications experience

  • Strong communications, both written and verbal

  • Strong storytelling skills

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables

  • Self-starter, sense of urgency, and works well under pressure

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Sense of professionalism and ability to develop relationships

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years of agency or in-house experience 

  • Experience with event planning/ media activations

  • Thorough understanding of markets in the technology, telecom, auto and finance vertical

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
