Job Description

Job Purpose:

 The Operations Project Manager will provide direction and leadership to key NielsenIQ strategic projects.  The Operations project manager has overall responsibility for creating, execution, monitoring, controlling and finishing the plan.  This role will bring leadership and direction to projects.

Responsibilities:

•To secure the successful delivery of medium to large, client facing projects in a local, multi-local or international environment.

•To partner with resources and specialists in different groups across the business in one or more hubs to develop synergies from Nielsen’s international organisation.

•To manage stakeholder interests and resource planning for all assigned projects.

•To adopt and proactively use Project Management standards and proactively ensure project health checks are completed for all projects.

•To prepare project documentation (such as project charters, statements of work and project schedules) and to update risk/issue/change logs.

•To provide guidance to other Project Managers and Project Executives as required.

 

The ideal candidate:

●Bachelor Degree in a relevant  field

●3-5 years of proven project management experience, preferably in the field of IS/BI.

●Experience with project management processes based on industry standards – PMP certified an asset

●Combination of technical understanding combined with client orientation.

●Strong influencing skills (external and internal).

●Understands and applies critical project management processes.

●Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

●Capacity to make decisions independently and resolve problems in a client focused manner escalating when appropriate.

●Strong communications skills with the ability to speak and write clearly, and adjust communication styles to the target audience

●Excellent people skills, with an ability to communicate sensitive or difficult information tactfully and rationally

●Ability to influence others

●Strong analytical skills

●Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise own and others work to meet tight deadlines

●NielsenIQ Operations experience an asset

●Bilingual in English/ French an asset
