ABOUT THE JOB

The Director, Data Science Global Clients, is a role that will engage with NielsenIQ’s global clients, client business partners, customer success teams and local/regional market facing data science teams to understand and meet global client expectations. The purpose of the team is to transform and enhance client experience. The role will partner with client teams to manage global client needs, with a focus on the Africa Middle East region.

As an individual contributor in this team, the individual will be expected to engage and lead conversations with senior market and region commercial teams, data science and product teams as well as clients. The individual is expected to gain a deep understanding of NielsenIQ’s Measurement Products (RMS, CPS) and pro-actively monitor and improve product health across markets in the region.

The individual will also be expected to build on NielsenIQ’s eminence in the Data Science domain, collaborating with industry and universities on thought leaderships and whitepapers, as well as play a key role in client councils and roundtables.

Note : We are open to evaluate candidates from Dubai , South Africa , Pakistan locations .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively engage with large global clients, Client Business Partners (CBPs) and global Customer Success, Commercial partners to understand and meet client needs at a global level.

Work with CBPs and Customer Success, Commercial to manage global escalations.

Collaborate with Client and Product teams on Client Advisory Councils and Roundtables.

Support CBPs/Commercial teams on competitive intelligence and M&A that require Data Science due diligence.

Understand and assess Product Health across markets from a Data Science perspective.

Strengthen the core measurement products by identifying opportunities and working with the country teams to execute on them.

Set up a robust/ standardized/ streamlined approach and framework to meet global client demands.

Building a repository of best demonstrated practices to fast track the transformation journey.

Partner with industry and universities on Thought Leaderships, whitepapers, etc.

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU 

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on, go-getter attitude. Having a mix of technical and soft-skills, you are easily able to build stories and visualizations out of complex datasets and analyses. You understand concepts thoroughly and are able to articulate concepts to non-experts. You are able to influence senior stakeholders and can manage challenging conversations. You are able to bring together and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across teams, seeing the big picture while keeping attention to details.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post graduates with degrees in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Management or related fields, involving statistical analysis of large data sets.

8-10 years of experience in a product role, client facing exposure is a must.

Deep knowledge of NielsenIQ’s RMS product is favourable.

Knowledge of basic statistics (Advanced statistical knowledge is preferred).

Working knowledge with data visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, etc) and mapping tools.

Understanding of programming languages like Python / R is preferred.

Awareness of AI/ML concepts and awareness of big data tools like Hive etc. is preferred.
