Job Description
Purpose of the job:
In this role you will become part of the European Innovation team-leading multicountry deployments of new products and making a significant business impact by delivering new value to our customers and modernizing the ways of working.
You will be a single point of contact for any new major product launch in Europe and ensure the operations team have all the resources (knowledge, documentation, technical support and other) to successfully implement the new product and the new launches meet the defined operational success criteria (time, cost, quality).
You will manage all aspects of assigned strategic projects including scope, time, progress, quality, goal implementation, communications, and cost/budget management where specified, following the Nielsen project lifecycle definitions and processes
Provide a focal point for communications and decisions regarding the assigned set of projects
Act as subject matter expert regarding the introduction of new products to European operations to internal stakeholders
Accountabilities:
Key accountabilities (this area is not a detailed description of activities on the job):
In this role, you will be accountable for introducing new global products to European operations like Connected System and ensuring their BAU readiness. This role is a single-contributor role, however, you will lead the operational project team with dedicated resources to it.
In this role you will:
liaise with global/ regional product leadership, technology, enablement and commercial teams to ensure everything is ready for a product launch
be accountable for reaching operational readiness of a new product according to the project plan
Ensure the product design meets BAU readiness criteria and risks and unknown have been mitigated
Own the operational project plan, report on the progress and deviations
Be accountable for the project handover to BAU/ Continuous improvement teams after completing the pilots
Capture the lessons learnt and improvement opportunities
Lead the capacity and resource planning discussions, track resources spent on the product related projects
Own and constantly improve on operational readiness checklist ensuring new products launch in Europe meet the internal and external success criteria
Agree wit geography leaders on support of country SMEs and execution team
Manage all project documentation including SOPs, process maps, issue logs according to best practices and internal standards
Coordinate the work on Innovation resources (BPAs, SMEs) for the design and testing stage of the project
Qualifications
Work experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in product/ commercial RMS role
- At least 3 years of project management experience – including the use of project reporting tools
- Prior RMS operations experience will be an asset
- Prior experience in business process improvement will be an asset
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
Requirements:
- Common business language knowledge (English): speaking and writing with fluency
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, ability to communicate across different organizational layers
- Previous experience in project management with proven record of delivering results on time, on budget and to scope
- Familiarity with industry standard project management best practices and general project management life cycle and processes
- Attention to detail, inquisitive mindset
- Operating with continuous improvement mindset (as to costs, lead time, value, automation level)
- Ability to lead change
- In depth understanding of Nielsen products and operations (desirable)
