Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and consistency of rendered images, 3D objects and texture files.

Your focus will be on enhancing the visual appeal of our product listings and lifestyle imagery, ultimately driving sales through captivating visuals across tens of thousands of assets.

Please note that this role would be on-site. You will be based at our Head Office in North Ryde and will be working in office Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large workflow/pipeline: Ensure scalability in both rendering capacity and workflow, especially during peak periods where we may handle up to 30 models concurrently and hundreds of colour configuration 4K render animations every day.
  • Strong experience in 3Ds Max: Familiarity with automating actions in 3Ds Max by working with developers to create a more streamlined and easier to execute product render workflow.
  • Oversee offshore render teams: Manage external 3D suppliers as needed to ensure scalability at critical times of the year.
  • Maintain visual consistency: Ensure all product images adhere to brand guidelines and standards.
  • Conduct quality checks: Review 3D models technically and qualitatively. Also review rendered images to identify and correct any imperfections or discrepancies against supplier images and videos or real-life products.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work closely with the buying/product team and marketing to understand project requirements and deliver images that meet business goals.
  • Asset Management: Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of rendered images on our Digital Asset Management platform, ensuring easy access for website updates and marketing materials.
  • Stay updated on trends: Keep informed about industry trends and best practices in rendered imagery, implementing innovative techniques to enhance visual impact.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a 3D Artist/Render Manager role (Ideally with experience in managing offshore render teams and at a technical level of render workflow management).
  • Proficient in using 3Ds Max and Corona render engines for 3D work.
  • Preferably scripting knowledge or have worked with those creating scripts on your behalf previously.
  • Relevant qualifications in either 3D, IT, Architecture, Interior Architecture or Industrial Design.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring consistency in visual presentation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and requirements to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
