Job Description

The Principal Security Strategist is responsible for providing technical leadership as an expert security practitioner within an assigned region. The goal of this position is to expand the sales and delivery of security solutions to our customers.

  Job Responsibilities:

• The Principal Security Strategist will be responsible for understanding complex business IT needs specifically focused in the Information Security sector and will research, design and develop solutions

• The Principal Security Strategist will provide advanced planning and design services for complex multi vendor Security Solutions.

• The Principal Security Strategist will be responsible for presentations and Sales Engineering support to the field, as well as white board presentations/software demonstrations to senior level executives.

• Ability to assess customer environments and make recommendations

• Engage various manufacturers and their engineering resources for design assistance and lab access.

• Meeting and relationships with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies

• Work on achieving additional relevant certifications that would benefit the Architect role

• Work with regional LTAs and Security National Practice Leads to develop standardized sales, delivery and testing documentation to be used by us nationally for delivery of solution services

• Improve client satisfaction of the investments made in our solutions and assist in building relationships with prospective clients.

• Assist sales team with messaging our Information Security Strategy to executives within our region.

• Mentor and train co-workers on repeatable enterprise security consulting and engineering methodologies and best practices.

• Work with the Security National Practice Director on development and delivery of Security Solution Bundles.

• Build internal and external awareness for our Security Solutions.

• Support regional webinars & event seminars between us/ Security Vendors

• Drive sales revenue on Security technologies

• Enable technical readiness, training and development on Security solutions within assigned region.

• Promote utilization of the security solutions to expand account base penetration and broaden our solutions footprint with new clients

• Work with the our sales force to position technical capabilities and professional services.

• Create and provide technical documents applicable to sales opportunities • Establish access and relationships to executive management at target prospects and clients

• Provide leadership to build repeatable processes and sales skills in order to provide quality and cost effective solution sales deliverables

• Must be able to travel at least 25%

  Education and Experience:

• 4 year College degree preferred

• 10+ years of hands on experience in IT

• 7+ years of experience performing a Consultant or Architect role

• Multiple Industry recognized Certifications. i.e.: CCIE, GCIH, CISSP
