Job Description

We expect the Project Manager at Nicasource to be driven, enthusiastic and proactive problem-solver. You will serve as the catalyst at the center of cross-functional teams including account management, creative, strategy to produce amazing digital products and campaigns.

The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment to build and enhance working relationships with clients, external partners, and within the company. To succeed, you will need to be a creative advocate, have a passion for technology, be comfortable with ambiguity, manage complexity and multiple work streams with ease, and exude excellent communication skills. Backed by your emotional intelligence, extensive experience across a variety of project types, and in-depth knowledge of project management best practices, you know how to run projects smoothly.

Qualifications

  • ​​​​​​2 - 3 years of previous experience in similar positions.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, written and verbally.
  • Previous experience working at development agencies. 

Additional Information

Responsibilities:  

  • Create various documentation for planning and scoping projects, including comprehensive statements of work (SOW) and change orders, detailed budget estimations, and complex timelines when needed.

  • Manage project requirements and delivery, including actively managing project health, proactive planning as it relates to resourcing, timelines and budgeting.

  • Serve as the lead in the creation and execution of company SMART goals. 

  • Write user stories and log them in the pertinent project management software used per the specific project, for example, Pivotal Tracker, Jira, etc.

  • Create a variety of technical documentation as required with the support of web engineers, voice developers, mobile developers or quality assurance testers. This also includes internal teams pertinent to specific campaigns and clients

  • Actively participate in UI/UX z

  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams with the end-goal of building long-term relationships with customers. 

  • Conduct some testing when needed.  

Aside from the regular tasks of a Project Manager. The candidate will also be in charge of Managing an assigned Team. 

Some Job responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a productive working environment for development teams.

  • Conduct annual reviews and regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports

  • SMART GOALS set up and follow up during the year (SMART GOALS Manager).

  • Identify skills gaps and training opportunities for the team members.  

  • Help to recruit and assemble the development team

  • Significant ability to self-manage in a flexible environment as a contributor or as a team lead.

  • Provide oversight, direction and mentoring to ensure adherence to business direction, architectural strategies, and enterprise technology standards.

  • Provide the team with career mentorship, regular guidance and assistance.

  • Work with team members to ensure projects have accurate estimates meet provided timelines and fulfill requirements.

  • Correcting dysfunctional behavior within the assigned Team.

  • Keep track of Teams PTO.
