Job Description

Exciting opportunity as the Product Owner to lead a major effort to expand product portfolio for Nextech.  This new role will lead the prioritization, planning and execution of his/her respective products, working in partnership with the Technical Owner and Squad members. Working in an agile product development environment the Product Owner will continuously assess and synthesize customer needs, other market demands and organizational goals and priorities to make continuous adjustments to the product road-map.  The Product Owner will also play a key role in coordinating go-to-market across the organization, including sales, services and support. 


1.    Prioritization and product road-mapping 

    a.    Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand and synthesize organizational goals and priorities, as it pertains to the respective product portfolio 
    b.    Gaining insights into Customer priorities and market imperatives and turning these into structured inputs towards prioritization and road-mapping decisions 
    c.    Partner with Squad Technical Owner in sprint planning and other agile ceremonies 
    d.    Communicate product road-maps both internally and to clients and industry analysts 

2.    Interpretation of regulatory changes into product priorities and requirements 
    a.    Work with VP of Regulatory compliance to interpret and prioritize regulatory changes into product road-map decisions 
    b.    Lead efforts to define product requirements based on regulatory changes 
    c.    Support VP of Regulatory Compliance with communications within the company and to Clients, partners and other relevant 3rd parties 
3.    Lead Customer needs discovery activities and translation of these findings into product requirements – e.g. development of epics, stories, story boards and mock-ups 
    a.    Working with Customers to gain insights into their needs and priorities 
    b.    Translating these insights into epics and stories and developing and managing the backlog 
    c.    Work with UX/UI team to develop mock-ups and story boards for validation exercises with clients and subject matter experts 
    d.    Partner with Squad Technical Owners to continuously groom the backlog 
4.    Development of pricing, packaging, messaging and positioning of each product set in preparation for each Go-To-Market events. 
    a.    Work with stakeholders to develop robust and competitive pricing, messaging and positioning ahead of all Go-To-Markets (GTM) 
    b.    Identify industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform pricing, messaging and positioning

  • 5+ year’s experience in Health IT and deep understanding of the ambulatory market
  • 5+ year’s experience in a similar product marketing or product management function
  • Preferably a deep understanding of MIPS/MACRA
  • Able to engage with Clinicians to be able to bring to surface and synthesize their needs and pain-points
  • Past clinical training / practice will be advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work across functional team
  • Strategic thinker with ability to execute on day-to-day operational activities with clients and other functional areas
  • Familiarity with Jira and Agile software development
  • Undergraduate degree

Working Environment:

  • General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels. 
  • Periods of stress will occur.

Physical Demands:

  • Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.
  • Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel.
