Job Description
The Sprinkler Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting the growth of the company’s construction, tenant improvement, and service divisions utilizing CRM software. This role identifies potential clients, builds relationships with general contractors, property managers, and facility owners. The Sales Associate prepares estimates, tracks bids, follows up on proposals, and ensures smooth handoff to project management once projects are awarded.
Qualifications
Experience & Technical Knowledge
- Prior experience in fire protection, construction sales, or related trades (preferred but not required for junior roles).
- Basic understanding of fire sprinkler systems, NFPA standards, and general construction processes (training can be provided).
- Ability to read or learn to read construction drawings, specs, and bid documents.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and basic office software (Outlook, Excel, PDF markup tools).
Sales & Business Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with GCs, property managers, facility owners, and repeat customers.
- Ability to prospect new clients through calls, visits, networking events, and jobsite outreach.
- Strong follow-up habits and the ability to track bids, leads, and opportunities.
- Basic understanding of estimating concepts, pricing strategies, and scopes of work (training provided).
- Professional presence and confidence during meetings, walkthroughs, and proposal presentations.

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong attention to detail when gathering job information, measurements, and project requirements.
- Reliable transportation and ability to visit jobsites regularly.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- NICET certifications or OSHA training (not required but considered a plus).
