NexGen is currently seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL
Developer who will have responsibility for creation, maintenance and
enhancement of PL/SQL stored procedures. Development duties encompass creating operational
ready PL/SQL code for an existing database including coordination, planning,
and control to ensure a stable information systems environment. Additional Oracle database administrator
duties may also be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the

Design, develop, and maintain a wide variety of
Effectively and accurately communicate with
management regarding project status, issue identification and remediation.
Deliver reliable and high quality code to meet
requirements within tight deadlines.
Translate business specifications into a cohesive
software design and implementation.
Collaborate with Database Administrators:
Ensure smooth and consistent operation of multiple
Oracle database instances.
Assist with monitor and review database instances
to identify potential maintenance and tuning issues.
Data analysis and cleansing including verification
and validation of data quality.
Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
The candidate should possess strong oral and
written communication, general problem solving skills and should be able to be
an effective team player as well as operate effectively with minimal

examining the data, relationships, triggers and stored procedures within the
Strong background in Oracle PL/SQL programming

Understanding of Object Oriented concepts, design
patterns, and modern application frameworks
Familiarity with all aspects of Software
Development Life Cycle.
The successful candidate will be able to pass
background screening prior to employment.
US Citizenship or work-authorization
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree; or equivalent experience.
7+ years experience writing and deciphering complex
7+ years experience interacting with Oracle 10g,
11g, 12c databases.
3+ years in either a primary or secondary role as
an Oracle Database Administrator.
Thorough understanding of general database
technologies and relational database concepts.
UNIX (Solaris, Linux)
Additional Desired Skills/Requirements:
Experience writing Perl and UNIX shell scripts.
Knowledge of J2EE framework.
Experience using Informatica.
Experience interacting with Informix 9.4 databases.

written communication, problem solving skills and should be a team player.
