New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is a leading non-profit organization in New York that has been caring for the community for over 40 years. With six treatment facilities within Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, we assist children, families, and individuals with behavioral and emotional challenges in becoming more productive, independent members of society.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a bright and self-motivated Social Media and Branding Consultant to join our team. This is a consulting position that will be based out of our main office located at 176-20 148th Ave, Jamaica, Queens.

We are looking for someone who possesses a strong interest in social media, community engagement, and a passion to make a difference especially within the non-profit sector. Assignments may vary, but will generally include assisting with social media platforms, public relations, and branding.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Administration and Marketing with various social media projects including but not limited to:

  • Implement and maintain online presence through social media (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok)
  • Identify, conceptualize, design and execute campaigns to boost engagement, educate and inform NYPCC’s followers about our services.
  • Research and create content (including videos and marketing flyers)
  • Engage with followers across social media and monitor the conversation
  • Monitor social media trends and develop creative ideas to enhance NYPCC’s marketing presence
  • Respond to reviews on Google, Yelp and Glassdoor as needed  
  • Create content for Blog posts
  • Competitor tracking and analysis to help boost out social media presence
  • Create and maintain an Editorial calendar
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's in communications, marketing or another related field; or High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of experience

  • Knowledge in social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Demonstrated leadership and a strong interest in communications/marketing/branding, etc.

  • Interest and passion for working in the non-profit field

  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive

  • Works well under pressure/short deadlines

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to tackle competing priorities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong/demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Suite

  • Experience with Canva is preferred

  • Experience creating custom content for social media is preferred

  • Experience in a professional environment is preferred

  • Google AdWords, Google Grant, SEO knowledge
