Job Description
This position is responsible for the following functions:
- Production Planning
- S&OP Procurement
- Customer Service
- Data Management (BOM)
- Warehouse / Distribution

You will:
• Foster and support a growing relationship between the Operations and Sales teams and be a primary contributor in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies and plans for company Operations and Sales.
• Be the Continuous Improvement advocate for the Supply Chain organization.
• Manage staff growth and development for the Supply Chain Team.
• Coach Supply Chain team members to find ways to improve performance through Lean – Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Manage the planning process for seasonal build plans and everyday fulfillment excellence.
• Project manager oversight for new commercialization projects and potential co-manufacturing initiatives. Develop your Team to do the same.
• Develop and implement processes, strategies, and plans with the Operations and Sales teams to support the fast growth of the company.
• Be a co-lead on future ERP evaluations / installations
• Be the key person for analytical insight on production capacity, bottleneck identification, new business opportunity identification, and developing action plans that will achieve results.
• Determine ways to optimize inventory levels while maintaining a high customer fulfillment rate.
• Own inventory management and customer service.
• Identify and implement scheduling optimization tools and improvements including forecast systems, change over reductions, optimal SKU runs, and ABC item analysis.
• Develop a highly efficient warehouse team – delivering operational savings while leading a world class safety focus
• Balance cost and service across the inbound, back haul, and outbound freight categories.
• Minimize freight costs & improve the traffic networks’ ability to remove cost & deliver product successfully at a high level.
• Procurement – deliver optimize costs for the business through effective negotiation, vendor relationships and category knowledge / strategies.
Qualifications
• Strong background in collaborating with Operations and Sales to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies and plans for the company.
• You have developed and led a successful S&OP process
• Demonstrable history of process development, optimization, and implementation.
• Excellent Supply Chain planning experience.
• Strong people management skills.
• Solid Continuous Improvement background.
• Lean experience is key
• Must possesses critical thinking skills and be able to build and drive a team’s vision and achieve results.
• Excellent coaching skills.
• Excellent presentation and verbal & written communication skills.
• Outstanding ability to initiate and develop collaborative relationships with Operations, Sales, and other departments within a company.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Warehouse and Freight Management
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college.
• 5 to 10 years experience in leadership of Materials Management, Planning function in a multi work center, complex sku based environment
• Computer skills: Proficient with email and Microsoft Outlook. Above average ability in excel.
• Self-starting self-motivator. Possesses the ability to achieve success in a fast paced, multi-tasked oriented environment.
• Planning, problem solving, project management experience and the ability to lead and influence by example.
• Highly effective time management and multi facet prioritization.
