Job Description

Summary of Position: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, a Maintenance Mechanic 1 is responsible for maintaining shop equipment, and various tasks involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and machine repair. This position may involve lifting up to 50lbs on occasion. This is an International Association of Machinists Union opportunity. Preferred Experience:
 

•           5-10 years experience in a manufacturing or food-processing environment.

•           Experience troubleshooting & repairing a variety of manufacturing equipment.

•           Skills in hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.

•           Skills in fabrication, welding and sheet metal work.

•           Ability to read mechanical prints.

•           Ability to read and use all types of measuring devices IE: micrometers, calipers etc.

•           Ability to read and write English.

•           Ability to apply math to job functions.

•           Ability to work independently and a self-starter.

•           Working with a sense of urgency and with good work ethics.

•           Electrical skills a plus.
