Job Description

The Implementation Specialist will lead the Network Perception implementation process and provide client feedback to the client and internal development teams. Additional duties include reviewing client data for accuracy and reporting issues to the appropriate client and internal recipients. This role will report directly to the Client Services Director and work closely with the DevOps team to successfully prepare for and integrate client data into NP solutions. A successful candidate is detail focused with the skills to simultaneously lead integration efforts to ensure that information review and technical support is handled quickly and efficiently.

What You Will Do

  • Actively participate and be highly engaged as part of a project team (including clients, colleagues, other consultants, vendors, etc.) Activities include: contributing to project and tasks plan development, completion of templates and documentation.
  • Complete tasks and activities as assigned by the Project Manager, and in accordance with Network Perception’s methodology.
  • Adhere to project schedules and budgetary constraints; provide early notice of any potential risks or issues with adherence to project schedules or budgets
  • Hands-on project execution:
    • Gather, document and analyze client requirements: Work with clients to obtain requirements and retrieve client data configuration files to ensure clients can export/import these files into their NP solutions
    • Develop functional/technical specifications
    • Assist clients with data cleanup and conversion
    • Address risks and resolve issues relating to implementation; if needed, with assistance/direction from the Project Manager and Client Services Director
  • Testing:
    • Assist with the development of use and test cases, as appropriate
    • Support client testing and provide defect resolution
    • Communicate status updates, risks and issues to customers and internal stakeholders as appropriate
    • Identify client skill or knowledge gaps that might be addressed via Network Perception’s training organization and/or via an enhanced support model
  • Support application go-live
    • Provide knowledge transfer to clients and ensure the client staff are ready to operate the application upon go-live
    • Assist clients in transitioning the application to client’s production support team
    • Plan and execute effective hand-off to Network Perception’s Support organization
    • May write interfaces, conversions and other technical build items. Other responsibilities include, unit testing their work, testing the software and performing analysis to ensure the project meets specific customer requirements and are within company standards
  • Develop application and domain/industry specific expertise, and utilize this knowledge on projects
  • Partner with internal product, development, infrastructure and quality assurance teams to provide feedback on how to improve existing client offerings and share ideas for new products
  • Support team members in troubleshooting technical issues related to data transformation and flow on implementation projects
  • Resolve time sensitive customer technical problems by following established resolution procedures and ensure proper management escalation, as needed
  • Create documentation for future reference, training and support purposes
  • Identify areas for data quality improvement and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
  • Examine complex data to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected, resolve data quality problems, and collaborate with database developers to improve systems and database designs that will facilitate better data quality​
  • Develop and implement test plans and scripts to incorporate data quality policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in IT/Math/Quantitative discipline
  • 1-3 years experience implementing enterprise software applications in a client-facing consultant role
  • Experience working with Linux, Pan-OS, Checkpoint or other networking hardware
  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge of system integration options to include Batch file processing, API interfaces, EDI, etc.
  • Understanding of Data Governance and Data Modeling
  • Exposure to testing data for data warehouses and data integration solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and productively under pressure

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in Python coding
  • Experience in software testing enterprise data warehouse environments
  • Experience in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes
