Job Description

We are searching for a technical Solutions Engineer to represent Network Perception as a product SME during the sales process. The Solutions Engineer will partner with our Strategic Account Executives to provide online and onsite demos to prospective customers and serve as the main point of contact for solution design, proof of concept, and all technical questions in support of our global sales initiatives. The Solutions Engineer will also work with the marketing and product teams to create solutions that work for everyone.

We anticipate our first Solutions Engineer to participate in helping refine the overall GTM strategy, develop internal processes and procedures related to sales engineering and solution design, and provide feedback from prospects and customers in the field on the product. 

What You Will Do

  • Perform technical demos of NP software both on-site and on-line for prospective customers including technical and non-technical audiences such as network engineers, network managers, as well as key business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership in the NP Assisted Proof of Concept process (POC) via on-site and remote meetings with customers, proving NP’s functionality and value in the customer’s environment.
  • Analyze customer network environments to capture business and technical requirements in addition to key IT management pain points and propose value-driven product solutions.
  • Develop technical thought leadership on network technologies and deployments to internal NP teams including pre-sales, post-sales, customer, marketing, and product management.
  • Test new product releases and make recommendations on potential product improvements to the product development team according to customer feedback.
  • Participate and support customer onboardings and trainings as needed on using the many features of NP to manage their network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a client-facing technical presales or post-sales solution engineering role
  • Understanding of NERC and/or CIP compliance is highly desirable
  • Solid experience and knowledge of major vendors’ networking products configurations, operations, and deployments
  • Past experience implementing and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols, QOS, Security, MPLS, Multicast, etc.
  • CCNP, CCDP or similar certification (preferred, not required)
  • Previous Network Operations and/or NOC experience (preferred, not required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong technical presentation skills and the ability to manage key business stakeholders in large enterprises
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25%
