Job Description

We are searching for an experienced QA Engineer to lead and develop our testing capabilities and QA function in support of the development of our 2 core products, NP-View and NP-Live. As the first dedicated QA Engineer on our team, you’ll have ownership over the creation and implementation of our test procedures, tools, and scripts – both manual and automated. 

We expect our QA Engineers to interact and collaborate closely with our development team and leadership as well as our product managers, to gather requirements and design and execute test plans and scripts in support of the broader product roadmap in an Agile/Scrum environment. As a small, close knit team, we look for curious, passionate technologists that enjoy the challenge of wearing many hats.

What You Will Do

  • Create, implement, and execute the test strategies for Network Perception and further develop our processes and procedures in conjunction with our development team
  • Provide guidance in the creation of standard test policy, planning, methods, and principles and practices
  • Develop and lead our automation strategy and design, develop, and maintain a KPI driven framework for continuous improvement
  • Leverage critical thinking skills to identify risk and issues in a proactive manner and suggest process improvements and steps to resolve our challenges and move our development process forward
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, Development, and our leadership team to ensure delivery of the high-quality end product
  • Stay up to date on QA trends, best practices, and technologies and assist in continuing to develop and refine our overall QA strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field
  • 5+ years of software development / QA experience and 2+ years working with Automated testing tools and procedures
  • A strong “automate first” approach and a well-developed understanding of test automation methodologies
  • An understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and a collaborative, proactive attitude
  • A willingness to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a small, close knit team with the ability to help implement structure and processes to scale
