Job Description

The Data Import Specialist is designed to help drive success of Network for Good’s donor management customers by helping them import and/or migrate their existing data set. The role will work closely with both Customer Success and Product teams to provide project management and find solutions to simplify the process, while owning the data integration process.

This position will be a member of the Customer Success team, which helps to onboard our customers, but will work closely with the Product team responsible for ongoing development of the product to ensure continued process and product improvements to improve our customer’s software adoption. You will be responsible for working with customers to assess their needs and systems, analyze data files, and implement processes to ensure smooth import of customer’s data into the donor management platform. Important to the role is the ability to work on technical issues and explain issues to non-technical end-users, while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

The key responsibilities are:

50% Customer Interaction and Process improvement
• Communicate with clients about data specifications and support them at each step in the data integration process
• Develop and manage project scope, issues and escalations; continually setting client expectations
• Troubleshoot client file problems
• Act as a liaison between customer, success team, and import team providing clear information and updates to provide a smooth data migration experience
• Maintain schedules for operational tasks, track key client and project data
• Build improving/documenting internal processes and workflows

50% Data File Clean-Up and Importing
• Data file mapping, transformation and loading process for Donor Management customers
• Reviewing, cleaning, and manipulating customer data sets of varying complexity for import into customer accounts
• Manage data import process, validation and testing for up to 20 customers per month
• Test client data and configuration changes

Qualifications

• Understanding complex data and translating issues into non-technical terms
• Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates a strong drive for efficiency, resolving problems and getting the work done in a timely, quality-focused manner
• Demonstrated success and effectiveness working in and promoting a rapidly changing, collaborative, and time-critical work environment
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to express both oral and written thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely
• Excellent ability to multi-task; must have a high level attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
• Customer service orientation
• 1-3 years’ experience working with many datasets and formats from a variety of vendors, providers and platforms.
• Prior experience with Nonprofit CRM solutions preferred
