Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate .COM Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Job Description

Management
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
• Mentor, train, and develop staff within the finance team, including both direct reports and other staff
• Attend and participate in management team meetings and strategic priority discussions

Transactions
• Lead and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, fixed assets, payroll, account reconciliations and monthly close
• Establish, monitor and enforce a system of controls over accounting transactions
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Reporting
• Issue timely, accurate and complete consolidated and consolidating financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles
• Lead and manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting package/dashboard
• Lead and manage the production of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, working closely with all business units and departments
• Calculate and explain variances from the budget/reforecasts and report to the Executive Management team
• Assist in preparation of materials for Board of Directors meetings
• Provide financial analyses as needed

Compliance
• Lead and manage the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Lead and manage the preparation of Network for Good’s 990

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA required
• Possess ten+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 3 years of management experience
• Big 4 accounting firm experience is a strong plus
• Experience with Software as a Service accounting highly preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and Zuora is a strong plus
• Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-starter who is action oriented, organized, and possesses a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented and intensely deadline-driven environment
• Demonstrated success in planning/directing projects, and implementing new technologies and tools to support the accounting operations
