Are you ready to discover the role of a SysOps Engineer in Netcompany?
As a SysOps Engineer, you will join a highly skilled Systems Management and DevOps Services team responsible for operating, supporting and improving complex enterprise environments across on-premises infrastructure and AWS. You will work with Linux, automation, containers, monitoring, databases and CI/CD platforms to ensure reliable, secure and high-performing services.
As a SysOps Engineer you will:
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, including users, packages, upgrades, storage, services and firewalls
- Operate and support infrastructure across AWS, on-premises and virtualized environments
- Use Ansible and Bash to automate configuration, deployments, backups and operational tasks
- Configure and support HAProxy, GitLab, GitLab runners and CI/CD pipelines
- Operate Kubernetes, Helm, Docker and Docker Compose environments
- Manage and troubleshoot Elasticsearch, Kibana and APM for monitoring and performance analysis
- Install and maintain MongoDB and MySQL, including backups, SSL/TLS, users and privileges
- Support OpenStack operations, including virtual machines, networking, resizing and storage
- Configure Prometheus and Grafana, including dashboards, alerts and metrics
- Troubleshoot big data platforms such as Spark, Hadoop HDFS, Hive and Airflow
- Investigate incidents, improve system reliability and maintain technical documentation
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, SysOps, DevOps or a similar role
- Strong experience in Linux administration, Ansible and Bash scripting
- Hands-on experience with AWS and on-premises infrastructure
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker and Helm
- Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, MySQL, Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with virtualized or private cloud environments, preferably OpenStack
- Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, Hive or Airflow
- Good understanding of networking, security, backups, high availability and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to operational incidents
