Responsibilities and technologies
As a Student Service Desk Assistant at Netcompany Service Desk, you will take on a student job that supports both your personal and professional development. You will gain solid experience within IT operations, technical support, and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will become part of a team consisting of both full-time employees and student assistants, where shifts are distributed among the student staff. Your tasks will primarily relate to monitoring and incident escalation.
Your responsibilities will typically include:
- Monitoring IT systems and services.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, mainly via phone.
- Logging, tracking, and escalating incidents.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Your shifts will be scheduled between 17:00–07:00 on weekdays and may also include 24/7 coverage during weekends and public holidays. You should therefore be prepared to work evenings, nights, and weekends. Shifts are planned according to a fixed schedule so you will always know when you are expected to work.
As part of your onboarding and training, your initial shifts will take place during daytime hours to ensure you are properly prepared to handle responsibilities outside normal working hours.
About you
To succeed in this role, you:
- Are currently enrolled in a higher education IT program.
- Have a broad understanding of IT, preferably with an interest in Windows or Linux environments.
- Is motivated, curious, and independent, with a desire to learn how an operation organization functions.
- Is comfortable working night shifts and weekend schedules.
- Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.
