Job Description

A day in the life of a Multilingual Application Support Operator for Large European Institutions Projects. 

As a Multilingual Application Support Operator,

Your main duties will be: 

  • Provide first/second-line support for application-related issues and user requests, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Interact with internal translation services to effectively communicate with end users in all EU Official languages, to understand and resolve their technical issues and requests.
  • Document all support interactions and resolutions accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with other teams and escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Continuously monitor and prioritize support tickets to ensure timely resolution, as per defined service SLAs.
  • Maintain daily and administer an Atlassian-based knowledge database system and ticketing tools (Confluence and JIRA).
  • Communicate and share experiences with team colleagues in an open and structured way.
  • Train and mentor junior support staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Identify and share trends in support requests and work with direct colleagues and development teams to implement permanent solutions.
  • Ensure communication with the client and prioritize requests. Take care of their resolution/implementation at the Helpdesk service level in due time.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

Qualifications

If you have: 

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, providing support for applications/software in plurilingual environments.
  • Fluency in English, French, and German, both written and verbal, is essential. Other EU languages will be considered as an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels
  • Strong attention to the details.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and multilingual team, also demonstrating leading capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of internet browsers and MS Office suite tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting, Exchange server configuration and XML is considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices is a plus.
