Are you ready to discover the role of an Editor in Chief in Netcompany-Intrasoft?

Due to the recent expansion of our client portfolio, we are looking to grow our Editorial Team with a professional at high-level of experience to deliver valuable digital content for European Institutions. Reporting directly to SCOPE’s managing editor, as Editor in Chief, you will become part of a high performing, cross-functional, and Agile team.

As a Editor in Chief you will:

• Oversee day-to-day editorial tasks and production processes from proposal to publication;
• Control schedules and enforce deadlines;
• Assist in evaluating finalised articles for compliance with policies, style and tone;
• Reinforce quality standards;
• Keep up to date on the latest news and events surrounding EU science, research and innovation;
• Propose articles;
• Coordinate editorial meetings;
• Resolve issues as they arise;
• Attend events.

What would make you a fit for the role:

• BSc/BA in science or engineering, or journalism;
• 8+ years of experience in communicating science: producing text and editorial content in general in various disciplines (journalistic focus is mostly preferred);
• Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations;
• Excellent command of the English language;
• Attention to detail;
• A portfolio of past editorial work;
• Experience in writing about science for a wide audience and working with journalistic style in English.

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

• An excellent communicator;
• Creative thinker with the ability to track trends and develop or seek innovative ideas;
• Always curious for what makes a good article interesting.
