Job Description

We are currently looking for a senior 2nd line Audio-Visual Support Engineer.

Our client is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and is an agency of about 1500 people, most of them located in the Amsterdam offices, for which we provide various IT Support Services to end users (level 1 and level 2, including Audio Visual support).

A day in the life as a 2nd line audio-visual support engineer:

You are able to maintain monitor and configure the entire AV landscape, coordinate the work with external providers, investigate complex AV incidents and advise/train users on the best practices for using our Client's AV landscape.The AV specialist is equally able to produce, manipulate and manage the best in class AV services like capturing, mixing and public broadcasting of events (press conferences, public announcements)

Your main duties will be:

  • Resolution of Incidents and Service requests.
  • Administers daytoday operations to satisfy continuity of service, recovery, security and performance needs.
  • To provide technical support to on-site and off-site users.
  • As an Audio/Visual Engineer, you will be part of our fast-growing audiovisual team, reporting directly to the Strategy & Audiovisual Hub Lead.

Qualifications

If you have

  • Bachelor's degree of 3 years attested by a diploma/ Relevant University degree or diploma or a strong portfolio of experience working as a multimedia specialist with the subjects of filmmaking and digital photography or multimedia/interactive technology/design/animation or graphic and media design
  • Proven customer service and IT Service Desk experience of minimum 3 years
  • Good understanding of IT security and best practices
  • Knowledge of infrastructure Networks Up-to-date awareness of AV technologies and their features
  • Basic project management skills and deadline fulfillment focus
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communications skills in English B2 minimum (C1 better) mandatory / Experience in communicating in English with non-native English speakers
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment
  • A creative approach to new demands and Ability to manage and prioritize workload with competing deadlines under pressure
  • Analytical thinking with problem-solving abilities, combining different resources
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision
  • Team player with a willingness to offer and provide help to non-technical users
  • The ability to work in unusual situations, flexibility, and a willingness to undertake tasks not directly related to the job description
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Ability to handle a constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times
  • An ability to build good and strong relationships with the End-User base
  • The ability to exercise patience and to remain composed and professional always and especially when under pressure
  • Ability to provide support over the phone; excellent phone conversation skills, professional demeanour
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as Certificates as Audio-Visual (AV) professional Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), Crestron Master Certified Programmer (MCP) Crestron Master Technology Architect (MTA) Video conferencing platforms WebEx MS Teams

It would be plus if you also bring:

  • Knowledge with Creston Panel, Polycom and NVX
  • Recordings (Remote camera support)
  • Editing and Publishing (Youtube and VOD sites)
  • Video conferencing platforms
  • WebEx
  • MS Teams
  • Knowledge of infrastructure Networks
